Job Search Assistance - On-site Career Resource Center provides computer with CalJOBS Search.  A Job Lead list is available (updated every Monday), courtesy of the Department of Human Services.  A staff person is available to assist with job leads from the newspaper, preparation of resumes, job applications, & interviews.

Emergency Food Referrals - Referrals to the Kern County Food Bank are provided on an as needed only basis.  Families needing a referral more than twice a month require a home visit to develop a family intervention plan.

Referral Network - Computer based system which allows the Agency to refer tenants for needed services.  Assistance includes brown food bags, car seats, childcare, clothing, counseling, domestic violence counseling, education, food, diapers, furniture, HACK Scholarship Program, health care, job search, job training, public agency services, transportation, utility assistance, youth counseling, & many other services.

Empowerment Programs - Resident Councils formed in the community.  Community leaders have periodic meetings to discuss problems in the community & how to alleviate them.  Leaders also obtain occasional training when available.

Educational Programs - Agency does assessment of tenants' education level and skills.  Clients are referred to adult school, college, vocational training, or ESL classes.

Collaborations - Our Agency partners with several community agencies to provided residents with support services as needed.  Workshops and classes are established as requested by tenants.  These include classes in:  nutrition, parenting, ESL, computer training, etc.
