All applicants for vacant positions within the Housing Authority of the County of Kern must complete an official Housing Authority employment application.

THIS COMPLETED APPLICATION FORM MUST BE RETURNED IN PERSON TO THE HOUSING AUTHORITY ADMINISTRATION OFFICE AT:  601-24th STREET, BAKERSFIELD, CA.

WHEN THE APPLICATION IS RETURNED, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE A SHORT WRITING EXERCISE.

Resumes will not be accepted in lieu of an official application. However, applicants are encouraged to attach resumes and copies of any pertinent trainings and certificates to the official application. Any incomplete applications may be subject to rejection. Specifically, the "Employment History" section must be filled out completely. Writing "See Resume" in this section will not be acceptable. When your application is screened for eligibility to progress to the next phase of the selection process, only the information contained on the application form and in your resume will be considered. No assumptions will be made regarding your experience and/or education.

In order to be considered for eligibility for Veteran’s Credits, you must attach a copy of your discharge paper, DD214, or Certificate of Honorable Active Military Service, or acceptable evidence of required military service, not later than the date of application.
